MyNickelsburg is a kids game filled with fun activities for third through fifth grade students to help them learn basic financial concepts like earning, budgeting, saving, spending wisely, and sharing. This site will take the students on a virtual field trip to the fun town of Nickelsburg. While there, students will move around the town earning money and learning how to manage it.
The town of Nickelsburg will help students learn about important financial concepts like goal setting, differentiating between wants/needs as well as personal/family budgets, delayed gratification, and basic banking transactions. Not only do students learn about making and spending money, but also about the importance of giving and philanthropy.
And, best of all, it is FREE!
There are five modules in the program that each take around 10 - 15 minutes to complete. And there is an easy-to-use Teacher Panel that allows for easy set up of classes and monitoring of student's progress. Check out some of the great lessons that are included.
